ABIGEL SALMINI

Registered Massage Therapist, Doula

Abigel Salmini is a registered massage therapist who practices Swedish massage, Thai yoga massage and foot reflexology. She also has particular interests in pregnancy and breast surgery massage. Abigel first qualified as a massage therapist in her native country of Hungary, where she worked at a natural hot springs spa and clinic.

After moving to Canada, she studied the art of foot reflexology which she has now been practicing for three years. In January 2003, Abigel enrolled at the Sutherland-Chan School and Teaching Clinic, where she attained a thorough grounding in such subjects as human anatomy, pathophysiology, neurology and the theory and practice of musculoskeletal and other systemic dysfunctions.

It was at Sutherland-Chan that Abigel’s interest in women’s health issues led her to pursue electives in pregnancy massage and breast surgery massage. Breast surgery massage is designed for women recovering from mastectomies and other breast surgery. In July 2004, Abigel graduated from Sutherland-Chan and became a registered massage therapist in September. in 2005 she trained and qualified to practice Thai yoga massage.
